"Engaging with music soothes us in these difficult times, providing a means to begin to process our emotions, to stay connected to our pre-pandemic identities and to participate in something larger than ourselves.”

- Emily Abrama Ansari, Associate Professor of Music History, Western University

About Scribbly Strings

Canberra-based Scribbly Strings have been making music together since June 2021 and regularly perform at local community events. Members first met at a chamber ensemble class and subsequently formed a quintet to pursue a wider repertoire ranging from Baroque to classical, show tunes and pop music. Constantly seeking to hone their skills, they share a love of ensemble playing and bringing music to others! Members have a diverse musical background and participate in community orchestras and choirs around the Canberra region.
